What to do when energy is stuck at the crown after a spiritual awakening? Most people I work with need to ground their energy, and this solves most of the uncomfortable sensations. But sometimes people are ready for energy at their crown chakra to expand, for that stuck energy to move through and flow.
During my messy spiritual awakening I suffered from stuck energy in my crown. I desperately needed to ground, and I used QiGong and Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal treatment to do so. I found so much relief when the expanded energy within me was grounded. But at a certain point I felt too grounded. I could no longer access the higher realms with ease. I asked my inner guidance and felt strongly it was time to stop grounding. As soon I did I was able to start “going up” again. And I stayed grounded too.
As I continued to work through my crown chakra block I came up against a harsh and critical superego. The superego is the set of rules one internalizes via outer authority such as parents, religion, culture, etc. I worked through these beliefs, the pattern of giving my power away to outside authority. And as I did so the tightness in my crown chakra released and the energy was able to flow. I also healed what I call the upper/lower chakra split. My upper chakras were way more open than the lower ones. I had to work through the blocks regarding safety, security, pleasure, flow, control and power issues.
Around this time I learned about cranial suture work. Cranial sutures are fibrous bands of tissue that connect the bones of the skull. More and more people I know were finding relief from energy head pressure with cranial sacral therapy. I couldn’t find an easily accessible cranial sacral therapist near me. But I found a way to find vibrate cranial sutures with frequencies. It’s commonly believed that cranial sutures don’t move after they settle in place during infancy. But some osteopaths disagree, and say that cranial suture movement is necessary and healthy. And that cranial suture movement may need to change if your frequency has shifted a lot. Imagine this: a person grows up in a low-frequency environment. His parents are very fearful, ego-centered, and authoritarian. It’s likely that the brain will become a product of the environment, with changes in the amygdala, pre-frontal cortex and hippocampus (as compared to someone growing up in a loving, secure home). Then this person grows up, and decides to change. He does inner work, and since the brain is neuroplastic (capable of changing) it begins to reorganize. It’s reasonable that someone in this situation may have energetic changes in their brain, yes? Perhaps less energy begins to flow to the amygdala (fear center), and more to the hippocampus (memory function). What some osteopaths have observed is that movement in the cranial sutures correlates to changes in mood.
After grounding, most – but not all – of my head pressure went away. I intuitively knew when to stop grounding, but still needed relief. That’s when I discovered how to use frequency to vibrate my cranial sutures. I describe the technique in my upcoming booklet, The Ultimate Guide to Grounding.
After the first time I vibrated my cranial sutures, I felt such a wave of relaxation that I needed to lay down to adjust it. It was sweet relief. I did this once a day, and it was a great help to me. A lot of the leftover energy at my crown was able to move.
When people reach out to me for help with energy head pressure, the first step is to deduce which way the energy wants to move. Some people simply need to ground; others need to work through crown chakra blocks so the energy can move up; and some people have other energetic imbalances that need to be cleared up.
