So you are going through the ascension process and you have not yet created your ideal career. Ideally we have a career that allows us to live abundantly, that works with our energy, leaving us inspired and fulfilled. This is preferable to working against your own Self and feeling depleted in the evening. After a day of doing what you love, you should feel invigorated, even though you may be physically tired.
Do you bridge the belief or jump off the cliff to your desired work goal? Yes, there are people who have quit their miserable jobs, started their own heart-centered businesses and lived happily ever. Yet we must acknowledge that this is not for everyone. To bridge the belief or take the plunge into uncharted waters is is a very personal question that only you can answer. It depends on your comfort level, financial balance sheet, who depends on you, etc. It also depends upon how deeply ingrained your negative beliefs about abundance are.
Maybe you are reading this because you have a job and the thought of leaving it to pursue your passion makes you fearful. Perhaps you don’t have stores of money in reserve, and maybe a family that depends on you. Maybe you are not even sure what you do want to do, just that your present situation is not for you. Below I will share how to balance your energies in such a time. It is possible to bridge your belief until you are living abundantly doing what you love.
It’s ok to maintain your job to pay the bills. It can help to not have the extra stress of how to provide for the basic needs of life, and to have some semblance of stability while moving through the ascension process. The key is to maintain the right perspective and to not let your energies be completely depleted by doing something out of alignment with your true Self.
Let’s start with perspective. When going to work, tell yourself, I am doing this to provide for myself. I am doing this work that is not particularly awe-inspiring because I want a secure place to live, clothes to wear and food to eat. Do your best to align with your heart. You are doing this out of love. This is a temporary situation and better things are coming.
Next is energetic maintenance. Maintaining the right balance of energies is crucial to not being drained by the situation. A job that pays the bills is not something to invest all of yourself in. Save this for your heart-aligned work. The correct energetic balance goes something like this: perform your work with excellence, but don’t invest anything extra into the job. When you do your work with excellence, you give managers and co-workers no reason to push against you. When you give your best, you can expect the best case scenario in return. When the day is over, go home and completely forget about your job. Spend evenings and weekends filling your cup with joy. When you start your job, don’t waste your time thinking about how you should be doing something else. You know this is true and you are doing something about it. Don’t sign up for extra projects, or career promotion strategies. Be cordial with your coworkers, but abstain from extra lunches and weekend activities (unless of course there is resonance with someone that will continue after the job). Show with your actions that you are maintaining a stream of income for stability, and that this is not your future.
If at all possible find some work that can be done at home. You could listen to pleasant music. You could work with your own energetic schedule. You could choose the kind of environment you wish to create. A common progression when transitioning from a “normal” job to a heart-centered career goes:
- commuting to an office and working long hours
- working from home
- working part-time while starting your own heart centered work
- fully transitioned to your ideal career
Now at the same time as maintaining stability you need to be guiding your life into a parallel reality where you are living abundantly doing work you love. At least twice a day, pull up a vision of you doing what you love for a living. Envision yourself doing the work that is aligned with your soul and living well as a result. If you are not clear yet on what it is you should be doing focus on the general feelings of living in such a state:
Wow, my life feels like a dream. I get to do what I love, it doesn’t even feel like work. I would do this for free, yet here I am getting paid so handsomely for it. I am doing what I came here to do. It feels so good to do this work. I feel energized and happy while working and even better after work than when I started.
And set the intention that your right work path will fill in. Look for guidance through conversations, insights, etc.
Along with visualization, action is a key component to guiding your dream into a reality. You must take clear, consistent action towards your goal. If you are busy with work and family obligations, do something once a week to move yourself forward.
This is the essence of bridging beliefs to create your ideal career.
