Sometimes people have energy head pressure that feels trapped on one side. I’ve heard people describe this as energy swirling on the left side of the head, that feels like it is trying to get into the right side. Interestingly, I haven’t met anyone experiencing the opposite (stuck energy on the right side trying to get to the left).
From what I’ve observed, this usually happens when one hemisphere of the brain is weaker than the other. The two hemispheres of the brain are not synchronized and firing at the same rate. This can occur for several different reasons:
- unresolved trauma
- overthinking
- too much focus on the intellect
- low-frequency mental and emotional patterns
- lack of grounding
- weak emotional body
The solution, then, is to strengthen the weaker side. This can be done by processing the lower frequency mental / emotional patterns and traumas. But constant processing isn’t the only way. The right side of the brain can be strengthened by stimulation. Harnessing creativity, and utilizing specific physical movements, are two excellent ways to strengthen the right side of the brain. I personally experienced this during my own spiritual awakening, and have guided others with great results as well. By simply experiencing my own creative energy, the healing I needed occurred on its own.
There is one other practice I used during the intense phase of my spiritual awakening, when I felt that my brain was struggling. It’s something called crossing the mid-line, or strengthening the corpus callosum. The corpus callosum is a wide tract of nerves that connects the right and left hemispheres of the brain and allows them to communicate. I was guided to do movement exercises that strengthen the connection between right and left hemisphere. This can be done using the right and left side of the body. Another way to do this is with the eyes, since eye movement maps to brain function.
I love this exercise here, which has the viewer trace an infinity symbol with the eyes.
A long, protracted spiritual awakening can be hard on the body. Energy pressure in the head seems to be particularly tough on the liver and the brain. Over the years I learned several ways to ease the liver heat and pressure on the brain from so much re-wiring. I believe it is essential to help the body during the intense phase of spiritual awakening.
Albert Einstein is revered for not only his scientific contributions to humanity, but for being a whole-brained individual. Einstein is a scientist who used imagination, and intuition, and felt the presence of the Divine. He heralded in the age of relativity, shifting the human collective away from Newtonian science.
Did you know that after his death, Einstein’s body was autopsied and his brain examined? His brain wasn’t unusual in its size. However, it was discovered that Einstein’s brain had a thicker corpus callosum, with more connections between the left and right brain.
Albert Einstein has been calibrated to have a level of consciousness (LOC) of 499. The majority of humanity is right around 200 on the David Hawkins scale of consciousness. He was an evolved consciousness for sure.
During spiritual awakening, the brain can begin to work differently. It’s important for the brain to learn to operate as a whole unit. I hope this post has inspired you with some ideas to do that.
