I am often asked about kundalini syndrome healing. Kundalini is an energy that has its own way, timing and intelligence. There are ways to work with the energy so that the process is more manageable, and less intense.
I sought out many healers in my quest to alleviate the intensity of my own kundalini awakening. Every healer promised results, but most of the time their well-intentioned work only aggravated my symptoms. It was a crash course in discernment. I noticed that many energy treatments, such as reiki, distance healing, energy transmissions, etc left me feeling wired and unstable. It usually took a few days for the energy to wear off. Subtle energy transmissions did not work the way they previously had for me.
I often hear the same observation from others who are undergoing kundalini awakening. They go to healers looking for kundalini syndrome healing, and are left with sleepless nights. It’s as if the energy treatments are too much.
In retrospect I can understand what happens. During kundalini a lot of energy is awakened. An old energy field begins to collapse while a new one comes together. The energy rises and stirs up old imprints for healing. It works on blocks and impediments to the new energy field. So adding energy to a system that is already overflowing with energy is not helpful. Clearing the blocks to the flow of energy is.
I’ve also observed that in the times we live in, many people open their upper chakras before their lower chakras are cleared and balanced. It used to be that nervous systems were balanced and parasympathetic dominant before advanced spiritual knowledge was shared. Lower chakras were cleared of power and control issues, sex and body beliefs, and grounded in safety and security. The nature of today’s world, with esoteric knowledge at our fingertips, is both a blessing and a curse. It’s wonderful to access advanced spiritual information no matter where you are in the world. But, it’s also possible to access this info before traumas in the lower energy centers are cleared. This can lead to a split between the upper chakras and lower chakras. During kundalini, this split can amplify.
So, what to do for kundalini syndrome healing? I can share what has worked for me and for others. In sum, it’s to use the utmost discernment with energy healing treatments. Understand that your system is brimming with energy. The focus should be on clearing the blocks and old imprints. Many people experience blocks in the crown, throat and solar plexus areas. Some people experience blocks in their central channel or meridians (this happened to me).
Also, instead of adding on energy, I focused on balancing energy centers. I could not turn the fire of kundalini off; but I learned to balance it with Earth and Water and Spaciousness. This energy balancing modality is called Five Elements, and it helped me heal from much of the discomfort of kundalini awakening.
In sum, my suggestion for kundalini syndrome healing is to focus on clearing blocks and balancing energy centers.

Hi Christine, I am very hopeful that I can schedule a coaching session with you. I have, I think, run into blockages in my system and am experiencing somewhat erradic and sometimes uncomfortable surges of kundalini energy. If these surges were happening in the context of kriya work or some other energy practice they would be pleasurable. But, they are happening in the middle of the night often. During the day I also feel a slightly uncomfortable warmth in both my heart area and in my root chakra. I hope to schedule a coaching session with you as I am somewhat desperate.
