Have you ever received a transmission of shakti energy simply by watching videos of spiritual teachers? Today so much spiritual information is available. There are both positive and negative aspects to this. The internet has connected people and information in unimaginable ways. Information that used to be passed down only from teacher to student is freely available. This is great for people who have unique awakening experiences and need guidance. But one of the downsides is that information can reach people who are not ready for it. Or, transmissions of energy can be passed on to people, and that energy might not be suited for a particular person.
Shakti is generally known as transference of energy from one person (usually someone advanced in awareness) to another – a seeker, or a devotee. I know many people who received shakti. The experience is different for everyone, and of course depends on who they receive it from. For some, a complete release of karmic issues happens, easily and blissfully. For others, the energy releases a lot of issues which are dealt with all at once. I have friends that received shakti energy and had a wild ride for a period of 6-12 months. They then stabilized at a higher level of consciousness. They came out on the other end better for it. Surrender, releasing fear, and trusting life seem to be key components to a successful karmic purge.
Today I want to write about the other aspect of shakti. What to do when shakti goes wrong, or you have too much to release? Today there are an abundance of YouTube videos that transmit shakti, so you can access this energy simply by watching. Usually there are no disclaimers. Some of this energy is quite strong. My perspective is that for people who have a fair amount of trauma – negative early childhood experiences, for example – shakti must be considered with caution. The deliverer of this energetic force must be completely trusted and vetted as well.
I know of people who received energetic transmissions – directly from others and from watching videos where energy transfer occurs – and later regretted it. They didn’t realize the depth of their karma, or the intensity of releasing required, or they simply changed their mind.
Now, I’ve heard people say that once you receive a transmission it has to run its course and there is nothing you can do about it. But I have experienced quite the opposite. You are in control of your body energy, whether you believe it or not. And if you have decided that the road you are traveling on is too rough, you can do something about it. Begin by having compassion for yourself, for the situation you are in. And command the energetic transmission to stop, safely and gently. You may need some energetic support. You can call on one of the avatars of humanity, such as Jesus, Buddha, or other enlightened being. There is always help and support.
Balancing of energy centers can also help. During an intense spiritual experience such as shakti, the fire element within the energy body increases. This can be balanced with earth and water energy. The shakti energy is like a fire that burns away the old patterns. But if the fire is too much you can use the Earth element to settle its flames. Grounding can be extremely helpful. I also teach people to imagine sand putting out the flame of the burning energy in their body.
Connecting with the Earth element is one of the most important connections we can make on our spiritual journey. It is one of the best ways to have a more stable, secure spiritual awakening.
